What are Skills?
Skills are the defining variables for players. Improving your skills improves your chances to succeed in battle, making it easier to hit other units, to engage in physical combat, and to prevent falling down or running into things. There are a variety of skills in play, all of which are outlined on the Skills, Stats, Attributes, and Advantages page.
How do I improve my skills?
Skills may be purchased at Ye Olde Augmentation Shoppe in the Commerical District of the Spaceport. Take a look at the console there for the commands you need to improve your skills(look train or look aug). Improving your skills requires Advancement Points.
| Note: As you work towards higher skill levels, the cost to improve that given skill will increase with each level. |

| Note: You may only have two 3+ gunnery skills. |
Advancement Points
Advancement points(AP) are used to gain skills and advantages. For each rank number you have, you get an advantage point. So a Private (Rank 1) would have 1 advancement point while a Captain (rank 15) would have 15.
Skill Raising Commands
- stats
- Shows your current skill levels at the bottom.
- look training
- Shows a matrix of skills and what skills you can improve. Must be done from within Ye Olde Augmentation Shoppe.
- train <skill>
- Raises your level of proficency in a skill level, provided you have the Advancement Points to afford the raise. Must be done from within Ye Olde Augmentation Shoppe.
- forget <skill>
- Forgets a skill and drops back down by 1 skill level. You are refunded any advancement points that you spent on raising the skill.
- reset
- Resets your skills and returns all of your advancement points.
What are Advantages?
Advantages allow certain abilities that significantly help you in the battlefield. For More on Advantages, see the page concerning Advantages.
How do I purchase Advantages?
Similar to skills, you may purchase advantages via Ye Olde Augmentation Shoppe in the Commercial Distric of the Spaceport. Advancement Points are used to purchase advantages.

Advantage Related Commands
- stats
- Lists your current advantages under the Advantages section.
- look augmentation
- Shows you what advantages there are, and their cost in Advancement Points. Must be done from within Ye Olde Augmentation Shoppe.
- advbuy <advantage>
- Purchases an advantage. Must be done from within Ye Olde Augmentation Shoppe.
- advdrop <advantage>
- Removes an advantage. Must be done from within Ye Olde Augmentation Shoppe.
