The Frontier currently has a number of different currencies for different things. Each type is displayed below. To see how many you have of each of these, use the 
stats command in-game.

XP
XP, or 'Experience Points', are solely used for your progression through ranks within the game. With each new rank comes new abilities, such as the improvement of Skills and Advantages. XP can't be lost and it can't be converted to or from C-Bills.
What can I do with XP?
Ranks are gained automatically when you have enough to meet the criteria for a promotion. See the ranklist or stats command for information about how much XP you need for each level, or how much you need for the next level.
How do I get XP?
You can gain XP a number of different ways:
- Engaging in combat out on the RS map.
- Picking up Data Caches
- Destroying Relays
- Destroying Generators
- Claiming Bases
- Doing Courier Jobs
- Fueling bases
Advancement Points
Advancement points(AP) are used to gain skills and advantages. For each rank number you have, you get an advantage point. So a Private (Rank 1) would have 1 advancement point while a Captain (rank 15) would have 15. See Buying Skills and Advantages for more info.
C-Bills
C-Bills are the primary currency in our economy. You will use C-Bills to buy pretty much everything from mechs to ammo, to various trinkets.
What can I do with C-Bills?
C-Bills can be used to Buy or Rent Units, issue Orbital Requests, play the Lottery, and a number of other things.
How do I get C-Bills?
C-Bills are gained by doing such RS actions as:
- Picking up Data Caches
- Destroying Relays
- Destroying Generators
- Claiming Bases
- Doing Courier Jobs
- Fueling bases
Win Points
Win points are rewarded each time you are an active participant in a winning faction for one scenario. Faction Commanders are rewarded 2 points. Win points may be spent on temporary special advantages or a number of other niceties.
Donation Points
Donation points are earned for either taking on projects that benefit the site or BattletechMUX as a whole, or donating money at a conversion rate of $1 per donation point. Donation points may be spent on custom units and eventually other things. See the Donation Page for more details.
