This may be better served either being broken down into separate pages for the different topics, or having links to pages which go into greater details. I think that mixing Windows and Linux installation is cluttering if not confusing. Also, breaking it apart into different pages would allow better presentation for various troubleshooting sections or FAQs. -- Sy / ^(talk)

The reason they're put together is that Linux/Windows share some common steps. We haven't really had any people come to us with confusion/complaints over the instructions, it's mostly been Linux compile errors that we're seeing as a result of some build problems.
