XCODE is a broad term for the softcode interface to the Battletech extensions. This system is the very essence of what adds the "Battletech" to "MUX". Mechs are XCODE objects, maps are XCODE objects, autopilots are XCODE objects, etc. Any object may become an XCODE object as long as its
XTYPE attribute is set along with the
XCODE flag. For each
XTYPE there are a different set of behaviors that the object in question inherits.
